How can a star burn with no oxygen?

http://www.software-dungeon.co.uk/images/110486_burning_sun.jpg
*ihsan google*

A : Oxygen is needed for combustion right?
Atieqah : Yup. It is.
A : And there's no oxygen outer space, so how can the Sun burns without oxygen?
Atieqah : err. maybe there is oxygen? *making funny face*
*silence*
Atieqah : Okay what the hell. HAHAHA =.=

Kesimpulannya, saya salah lah kat atas tu. Kalau ada oksigen kat angkasa lepas, apehal astronauts semua bawak tangki besar-besar isi oksigen. Kan buat penat jeh !

Jadi semalam saya google How can the sun burn with no oxygen? Dan setelah dapat jawapan, konon bajet pandai dan ingin saya kongsikan di sini.

Secara malas nak terangkan : Itu lah kehebatan Tuhan. Jadi, maka jadilah.

Secara ringkasnya : The sun doesn't 'burn'. It's nuclear fusion.

Secara panjang lebarnyaaaa : The sun are not technically "burning" but are undergoing Nuclear Fusion. This is the process of forming a larger element from two or more separate smaller elements. In the case of our Sun, the simplest form of fusion is occurring, as hydrogen atoms are combining to create helium.

Okay bagi mereka yang tak faham, sila rujuk buku Science tingkatan 3. Sekian terima kasihh :)
